Odoo ERP Implementation for a Manufacturer

Overview

A mid-sized manufacturer ran production on whiteboards, stock in Excel and accounts in Tally. Shyphan AI implemented Odoo across sales, purchase, inventory, manufacturing and finance so the plant plans from confirmed demand and management sees stock, cost and margin in real time.

Challenge

The business had grown to multiple production lines and two godowns, but its systems had not grown with it. Sales orders were confirmed on phone calls, production was planned on a whiteboard each morning and raw material shortages were discovered on the shop floor.

Accounting lived in Tally on one desktop, so purchase and stock had to be reconciled with the books every month. Product cost was estimated once a year, and nobody could say which items or customers were profitable.

Solution

We ran discovery workshops with sales, stores, production and accounts, mapped every hand-off and designed a single Odoo system with one item master, one customer master and one ledger.

Sales orders now drive material requirements and work orders. Stores receive against purchase orders with barcode scanning, quality checks run on the work order and finished goods post to inventory and accounting automatically.
